Calf Shelter

With this design you can easily catch a calf inside using the flip-down gate, you can easily walk inside to treat sick calves, and spreading straw is fast and simple. Leave the whole side open and blow in straw or leave half-open for more wind protection.

One end contains a walk-through door. There are chains and/or tubing for attaching portable windbreak or freestanding panels to both ends. Put your shelter in the middle and a windbreak on each end for maximum protection. Skylights are along the side peaks to allow sunlight in. Calves won’t go in a dark shelter! With a tall peak, the inside of this shelter won’t heat up as much as shorter shelters. When calves get too hot and go outside in the cold, they get sick.
